WHAT IS BELT TESTING?
THESE CEREMONIES ARE THE CULMINATION OF THE HARD WORK THAT STUDENTS HAVE PUT IN TO TRAINING. TESTING IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO MOVE UP IN RANK AND EARN THE NEXT COLOR BELT. WE OFFER TESTING CEREMONIES EVERY 10 TO 12 WEEKS (ONLY 4 TIMES A YEAR!). THIS IS THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY TO EARN THE NEXT COLOR BELT.

Students who have been training for a full testing cycle (at least 5 weeks) and earned three stripes on their belt are eligible to test. The three stripes indicate when a student has become proficient in the curriculum and may be invited to participate in the test.
Participating students must wear a clean, unstained, wrinkle free Allstar logo uniform with their 2 patches SEWN ON CORRECTLY. The Allstar logo should be on the right, front chest. The Taekwondo United logo should be on the left, front chest. The uniform includes the Allstar jacket, white pants, and belt.
At this special testing ceremony, students will perform the required material under the direction of their instructors in order to earn their next color belt. This material will include: kicking and punching techniques, patterns, self defense combinations, board breaking, and sparring (advanced orange belts & above only). Friends and family are welcome to attend this special event. We encourage lots of picture and video taking! If your performance is successful, you will earn the next color belt.

• Nunchucks are not needed for the test.
A Belt Testing Fee is required in order to participate. The fee is regularly $50 if paid before the deadline. After the deadline, all late payments will incur a $15 late fee.
Students who pass will get their new belt and certificate in the next regular class that they attend after their test. Students who may not pass will be offered an opportunity to re-test at the makeup testing or a future date.
